Filings in Progress

Filing Categories

The four tabs that make up this section of the dashboard display the electronic filings that you, your proxy, or a fellow proxy, have started and saved but have not submitted to the court. The filings that appear in this screen fall into one of the following categories:

  • Saved Filings - Filings that have been saved so they can be continued at a later time or those that have been returned for correction.

  • Approval Requested - Saved filings with completed To Do Lists that were assigned to a supervisory authority for approval prior to submission. These are instances where the submitter selected the Request for Approval verification action in the Payments and Submission page and the name of a specific approver.

  • Submission Requested - Saved filings with completed To Do Lists that have been approved by a supervisory authority and are awaiting submission to the court. These are instances where the submitter selected the Request for Submission verification action in the Payments and Submission page and the name of a specific submitter.

  • Submitted for Actions - Saved filings with completed To Do Lists that have been assigned to an external agency/organization (with respect to the person that created the filing) for review and consideration. This scenario requires a highly specific proxy relationship that does not exist for most PACFilers. Consequently, it is unlikely you will see a filing in this tab.

Regardless of the tab in which you are viewing, the filings that appear display the same information. This includes the filing name, filer, docket number of the case, tracking number, and any associated filing fees. In addition, you can perform any of the following actions using the corresponding icons:

  • Document icon Document icon - When this icon appears in the Document(s) column, it provides the ability to view a document that relates to the corresponding filing. A separate icon appears for each available document. You can hover your mouse pointer over the icon to display the name of the document. If three or more documents are linked to a filing, the Three Lines Menu icon Three Lines Menu icon displays to conserve space. Click on this icon to show the available documents.

  • View/Edit icon View/Edit icon - Provides the ability to view and edit the corresponding filing.

  • Delete icon Delete icon - Be careful when performing this action. It cannot be undone. If a filing is deleted in error, it has to be recreated.

Summary Report

On any of these tabs, selecting one or more of the checkboxes appearing at the far left of any filing provides the option to print a Summary Report. Clicking the Summary Report icon Summary Report icon generates a PDF that provides a printable synopsis of the filing and relevant case information.
